Role Overview:

Amazon Music is seeking a passionate Front-End Engineer II to help grow and maintain their design system and prototype new features across multiple platforms including mobile, web, TV, and voice. The role involves collaborating with design and engineering teams to deliver innovative audio entertainment applications with a strong emphasis on reusable components, motion frameworks, and excellent user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a library of reusable UI foundations, components, and design patterns.
• Build and extend an extensible motion framework to ensure high-quality animations and interactions.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes to support next-generation user experiences.
• Write clean, efficient, modular, and well-documented front-end code.
• Document front-end best practices to elevate team-wide coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and promote continuous improvement culture.
• Provide thorough unit and integration testing, supporting products during and after deployment.
• Balance immediate project needs with long-term architectural sustainability.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and product teams to drive consensus on solutions.

Key Technical Skills:

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years professional experience in front-end, web, or mobile software development with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle, including coding standards, architectures, code reviews, continuous deployment, and operational practices.
• Preferred experience with agile methodologies and cross-platform mobile apps development using React Native.
• Knowledge of iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows, Linux, and Web platforms is advantageous.

Work Environment:

The role supports a collaborative product design team with UX designers and program managers, embedded within a global design systems and engineering group. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on autonomy, innovation, and scalable solutions.
